Okay.... below is a different approach to arpeggios. Chords and arpeggios can be built on any scale degree or scale tone simply by stacking notes, generally in thirds, above your starting point. In this example (click to download!) the first three notes build a C major triad. The next three, a minor triad. What you see is a condensed version of the actual exercise. I removed the time signature from the example because it simply isn't important.

On each page of the downloadable files, there are likely to be lines that are out of the range of either your instrument or your personal capabilities. This gives you an opportunity to learn yet another useful skill - - transposition!! If the example is out of your range or capability, simply transpose it up or down one octave. Learn to do it automatically as you read the notes.

Fluency and fluidity of the exercise is your goal!!
