Yes, I have placed pictures of myself everywhere on this web site. "Shameless self promotion" you say? Of course!! If I don't do it, I'll have to pay someone else to do it for me. :-) Therefore, I'm not about to stop....

So; like I said at the bottom of the last page, we've only just begun. Can you name the pop group from the 1970's who made that song famous? Even if you cannot, what's next on the "hit parade"? How about some different scale forms? You don't think that major scales are all there is do you? Nope, not at all. What about dominant 7 scales? Natural minor? Harmonic Minor? The bebop scale? Still just the tip of the iceberg but, here goes nothing.....

By the way, I'm posting these exercises because I enjoy sharing what I've learned. If you wish to share them with others, please point them to the web site. If you wish to print the pages, please leave my name and the copyright notice intact on the page.

Dominant scale with arpeggio.

The example above is the C dominant scale and it's based on the 5th scale degree of the F major scale. C is the 5th note of the F major scale. That example is clickable. Here is the bass clef version. Keep in mind that these examples so far are only version or pattern number 1. Oh yeah.... there's much more to come just with these!!

Students.... don't look for the easy path to success because there isn't one. It takes time and effort to succeed in any endeavor. Music is no different. Continue to the next page for some thoughts on practicing.
